India is the latest country to join the illustrious list of Lollapalooza hosts
The number of music festivals in India has increased in recent years, as the audience seeks more diverse music experiences.
This year is extra special, as India is the latest country to join the illustrious list of Lollapalooza hosts, one of the world's largest multi-genre music festivals. On the 28th and 29th of January 2023, Mumbai will host the inaugural Indian leg, which will also mark Lollapalooza's Asian debut.
The two-day event will feature some of the biggest global and local names, catering to over 60,000 music fans on both days across four segments totaling 20 hours of outstanding live music, with 45 live acts. The announcement has also fueled speculation that many international acts will make their Indian debut at the festival.
There are close too 60+ food options available at the food park, a majority of which are highly localized to Mumbai, ranging all the way from the Haji Ali Juice Centre, to the best vada pavs available in Mumbai, Tibbs Frankie and biscuits from Pune’s Kayani Bakery
Outside of food and music, the festival promises to be an “experience like never before”, with engagement activities with various brand partners, including Bumble, NEXA, Levi’s, Budweiser and many more.
The music festival began in America and now tours Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Germany, France, and Sweden on an annual basis, with India serving as its eighth stop. Lollapalooza has celebrated 31 years of hosting some of the world's biggest musical acts, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Lady Gaga, and Daft Punk, among many others.
